Covering the World Cup from my couch
There is a huge population out there that loves football, plays football over weekends, sometimes even on weekdays, knows what the term 'Joga Bonito' means, has a view on the Messi vs. Ronaldo debate, is on either side of the Los Blancos vs. Blaugrana wars and passionately knows who is going to win the world cup this year. This, is not the place for those. I havent ever kicked a ball with any authority and my greatest claim to footballing greatness was winning a fantasy football league out of sheer luck. This is the place you come to, if you want to come to terms with what drives half the human population crazy, once every four years. The first ball will be kicked on 14th June and you can bet your bottom dollar I wouldnt have tuned in to the first kick. I will either be stuck in office, fixing dinner or snugly drooling on my pillow. I will however, give you a biased, uneducated, unentertaining view of what happened the previous night.
